چکیده

Chorea is a rare manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In this report the clinical features of two cases of chorea associated with SLE are presented. Chorea as a sign of systemic lupus erythematosus activity. Case report.

Chorea may occur as a neurological manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus and is often associated with detection of antiphospholipid antibodies. No evidence of chorea as a sign of lupus activity has been established. Anticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...

Pyoderma gangrenosum in a patient with antiphospholipid antibody negative systemic lupus erythematosus: A case report

In any description of leg ulcers in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) earns a mention at least for its being quite rare in such patients. The causative role of aPL (antiphospholipid antibody) in dermatological manifestations of SLE is undermined by the occurrence of PG in aPL negative SLE patients. To the best of our knowledge, there are only two reports of PG in aPL...

Two young women (aged 32 and 25 years) with systemic lupus erythematosus and heart valve lesions in association with antiphospholipid antibodies are presented. In addition to the presence of the 'lupus anticoagulant' and false positive Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) tests, both patients had high levels of IgG anticardiolipin antibodies. The first patient additionally had contracept...
